Angela Shelf Clock

I designed and built these clocks around standard wall-clock parts. The case is made entirely of wood. Certain accents, including the clock hands, are also made of wood. The clock can be positioned either horizontally or vertically (and the clock mechanics are easily adjusted from behind) for quick adaptation to any space. The face is housed behind plexiglass.

Utility Knives

These functional utility knives served as form studies and material experiments. The knife at the top is made of Spanish Cedar and the bottom one of painted polyurethane foam. Both knives can be held comfortably in at least 3 different ways, providing an optimum experience for the greatest amount of people.

USB Bird Lights

Originally created for a high key/low key color theory project, these cork birds are permanently attached to a modified USB laptop light. When plugged in, light comes out of the plastic beak. These are meant to be fun little things to attach to your computer, specifically while in a working environment that isn't so personal.

The Living Lamp

Built to try and make an everyday electronic express a more natural feel, this solar-powered lamp is housed above a living cactus. When powered, red ambient light shines both around the fixture and down on the plant. The lamp, plexiglass covering, and base are all separate parts that can be removed if necessary.

Theme and Pattern

I chose to show these next two works, the first a 12x12 in. acrylic painting and the second a 14x17 in. marker line abstraction, as I think they're good examples of the type of decorative style I like to use most often when it comes to 2-D work.

The Nimrod's Guide to the Digital SLR

The Nimrod's Guide to the Digital SLR is a book that I wrote and designed along with a friend of mine. It examines the basic technical and artistic processes involved in using a digital SLR camera. We wanted to make the book short, sweet, and easy to comprehend by anyone. The physical bound book is 6x6 in. large and is 65 pages long.

Personal Identity

As my most recent graphic design work, my personal identity serves as my best example of print work, after all, it's how I present myself to everyone else.

Cha-Ching

The next three works I'd like to share are examples of digital graphic design, specifically interaction (interface), and web design. Cha-Ching was a project I worked on some months back. I was cheifly responsible for creating the entire software's look, experience, process, and marketing. The premise: an easy way to manage your finances on Mac OS X.

MacZOT! Website

MacZOT! was a website that sold one Mac OS X application per day at a discounted price. I wanted to create a simple one-page experience for users; allowing visitors to view, discuss, and purchase an application all in once place.

MainMenu Website

After the MacZOT! project came a wave of clients wanting a simple user experience for their software websites. Here's a good example. This is the last piece of work I chose to share. Thanks for staying to the end!
